To be able to fulfill our mission and maintain our core values, we offer discounts (about a THIRD of Fordland Clinic’s patients have no form of health insurance and most live below the federal poverty level and receive the maximum discounts from our income based sliding fee schedule) and provide prevention and case management services which we receive no reimbursement.

Application to become a board member of Fordland clinic should be sent to the clinic or given to one of the board members.  Board members must attend the monthly board meetings and provide their viewpoint for determining the goals and objectives of the clinic.  They are expected to donate according to their means each year, to advocate for the clinic in their everyday life, to provide an expanded range of contacts to further the mission of the clinic, to donate time to at least one of the clinic outreach or fund raising activities, to assist with recruiting board member, to assist with donor development, to attend board education activities and to attend an annual board retreat.

Application to become a member of the Advisory Committee to Fordland
Clinic should be sent to the clinic or given to one of the board members.  The Advisory Committee was formed in order that individuals who are interested in assisting the clinic to fulfill the mission of the clinic but do not have the time to devote to being able to attend the monthly meeting etc. Advisory Committee members are expected to keep informed of clinic activities (and will be provided with copies the agenda of upcoming meetings and copies of the minutes of all meetings) and to be available as a resource for the board.  Advisory Committee members are welcome to attend board meeting and most educational / board development activities.

Federal 501(c)3 non-profit status was obtained in 1998.

As of March of 2007, Fordland Clinic was designated a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike.

Fordland Clinic is attempting to obtain Federal funds to expand health services in Webster and Stone Counties.
